UNIVERSAL BAR WIN BIG IN 2008 AWARDS!!

The Australian Hotels Association held their annual Gala Ball and Awards for Excellence on Monday night. More then 1000 guests attended the night which showcased finalists across several categories.

Universal Bar was a finalist in 5 categories, winning 3 including the ‘Live Entertainment Award’, the ‘Redeveloped Outdoor Area Award’ for the new Terrace Bar and the ‘Bar Services Employee Award’ going to the new Hall of Fame inductee Brett Lubicz.

Mr. Lubicz said he couldn’t have won the award without the support of the great staff and culture of superior service that has always been linked with Universal Bar.

“Its great to be a part of a team that strives to deliver the best possible experience for all our customers’.” said Mr. Lubicz.

General Manager and Director of Universal Bar Trevor Candido said that the awards reflected all the hard work that has been put into the bar over the past fifteen years and more recently with the development of the upstairs Terrace Bar.

“The new Terrace Bar offers a contemporary and stylish functions venue and late night alternative for those seeking a more sophisticated night out.” said Mr. Candido

“Compared to your average beer garden where you enjoy beer in the sun, the Terrace Bar offers cocktails under the stars, whilst enjoying award-winning entertainment streamed live from the downstairs stage, to the Terrace Bar.” said Trevor.
