Strutt Featuring Ses Sayer
Cool, Smooth & Funky are words that spring to mind when listening to one of Perth’s leading soul bands. Ses’ moody vocal style and slick delivery lend authenticity to the great songs of soul legends, Sam & Dave, Barry White and Sam Cooke to name a few. Together with his wonderfully talented band Strutt, they create an ambience rarely seen in Perth.
The Members of Ses Sayer and Strutt all have particularly impressive musical backgrounds. Individually, they have played with some of the biggest names and theatrical shows in the business including, James Morrison, Tommy Emanuel, James Ingram, Porgie & Bess, The Boy from Oz, My Fair Lady, and many others. While providing a warm, sophisticated ambience, these exceptionally talented musicians will perform music made popular by all the soul greats with a delivery which is strong yet smooth. It’s Party Time at the Uni bar on Friday nights and Nightmoves brings it on from 9.30pm to 1.45am! This exciting 6 piece band comprising the smooth vocals of Doreen Pensio and high energy of Mike Diaz and backed up by the big sounds of Marco Scampoli (drums), Nigel Clunies Ross (Bass), Rudy Yusof (Lead/rhythm) and Selwyn Poi (Keyboard), gets the dance floor grooving with their rapid fire repertoire of funky dance music from the 70’s right up to what’s hot today.
